Terms of Service

By requesting a quote, booking an inspection, or engaging J.E.E JONAS ( Electrical Engineering & Consultants) for any service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or submit a service request.

J.E.E JONAS is an electrical engineering and compliance consultancy registered and operating in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, with offices in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and East London. We provide Department of Labour-aligned electrical compliance audits, Certificates of Compliance (COC), SSEG registration, and related engineering services.

• All quotes generated through this website are estimates based on the information you provide and are subject to an on-site inspection.
• A formal, binding quotation is issued only after a site visit or remote assessment by our engineering team.
• Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.
• We reserve the right to revise a quote if site conditions differ materially from the information supplied.

Booking an inspection secures a time slot. A deposit may be required to confirm your booking — the deposit amount is shown at the time of booking. The balance is invoiced after the inspection report or Certificate of Compliance is issued.

• Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the booked slot.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled at no charge.
• No-shows or on-site access refusal will forfeit the deposit.

A COC is issued only when the installation meets the requirements of SANS 10142 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. If defects are found, a remedial quote will be provided and the COC will be issued once remedial work is completed and verified.

• Provide accurate site, installation and contact information when requesting a quote or booking.
• Ensure safe site access, including isolation of equipment where required, for our engineers and wiremen.
• Supply existing COCs, single-line diagrams and municipal correspondence where available.
• Settle invoices within 30 days of issue unless a retainer or other agreement applies.

J.E.E JONAS performs inspections and issues reports based on the visible and accessible condition of the installation at the time of assessment. We are not liable for defects that are concealed, inaccessible, or arise after the inspection. Our maximum liability for any single engagement is limited to the fees charged for that engagement.

All reports, audit summaries, engineering sign-offs and remedial specifications remain the intellectual property of J.E.E JONAS until paid in full. Upon payment, you receive a licence to use the document for compliance, insurance and regulatory purposes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the Eastern Cape Division, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version takes effect on the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
